This might be a stupid question… Could anyone tell me what’s a “vu login”? “The ports that you may run mongrel instances on are 1xxx0-1xxx9 where xxx is the last 3 digits of your vu login.” Well… I can’t think of any login that has digits in it, so it’s hard to guess…

Based on your other question, it sounds like you’re a Boxcar customer. We don’t require that you run your Mongrel clusters on specific ports on these accounts like we do with our other shared accounts.

This also means that you don’t have a vu####, because there are no control panel/virtual user accounts for Boxcar. :-)

Just make sure you define the port ranges the same in your capistrano and nginx configurations.

set :mongrel_port, 8000
